ANSYS has released the latest version of FLUENT for CATIA V5 3.1 to customers. FLUENT for CATIA is a rapid flow modeling tool fully embedded into Dassault Systeme's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) that allows design and process engineers working within CATIA V5 to rapidly and accurately validate their designs much earlier in the product development cycle.
FLUENT for CATIA V5 makes use of a high level of automation combined with integration into CATIA V5. Tasks that conventionally require a lot of manual intervention, including meshing, solution steering and reporting, are performed automatically by FLUENT for CATIA V5. With full upward compatibilty to FLUENT 6.3, FLUENT for CATIA V5 permits design engineers to do more CFD analyses faster and better than ever before.
Version 3.1 delivers a set of features that generate a major improvement in user scenarios at all stages of the simulation process. Reducing the time to solution and making CFD available for all through ease of use and tight integration into the PLM are key drivers of the FLUENT for CATIA V5 development.

Many other improvements pertaining to customization, post-processing and reporting are also included in Fluent for CATIA V5 3.1, including streamlined advanced CAD associativity scenarios including activating or deactivating parts, replacing parts in assemblies and support of topological changes.
