With 12 months still to go, stand sales are going from strength to strength on the re-launched Interplas exhibition. To date some 2000 sq. metres of floor space has been contracted.
The organiser, Rapid News Communications Group, is extremely pleased to welcome some of the leading plastics companies from across Europe, who have shown their dedication and commitment to the plastics industry by committing to the event, being held 27th-29th September 2011 at the NEC, Birmingham.
The biggest stand booked to date is from one of the UK's foremost suppliers of injection moulding machines, Warwickshire-based Negri Bossi. At 156 sq. m, the 2011 stand is a significant increase on floor space from the 2008 show. Carl Futcher, Managing Director commented, ''Negri Bossi UK has always been a strong supporter of Interplas as it embraces the entire Plastics Processing sector. The UK's manufacturing base is clearly making ground over much of Europe and I feel Interplas is a great medium to give confidence to our visitors, as well as our parent companies, and show them all the best of what the UK plastics sector can produce. We have taken the decision to have a larger stand for 2011 as we are launching new products over the next 12 months and Interplas will provide the best showcase for our UK market. Our own performance and the market in general is showing a moderate improvement over 2009 and I anticipate that the confidence this will generate will give us a strong 2011. As such the timing of Interplas will be perfect.''
Staffordshire-based Summit Systems Ltd, a specialist in material and product handling solutions, has also taken a considerable stand of just over 100 sq. m. Sam Hill, Managing Director for Summit Systems explained, ''Summit Systems were happy to commit to a substantial amount of stand space at Interplas 2011 because they believe that the Rapid News organisation have the resources and determination to make this a success. Having worked with Rapid News for a number of years we are confident in their ability to bring a showcase event to the UK and as the UK's leading supplier of material handling equipment we are delighted to support this.''
Interplas is also delighted to have recently signed Demag Hamilton, Hi-Tech Automation, Wittmann Battenfeld and Sandretto on significant sized stands along with Process Control GmbH, Victory Lighting, Spectra Masterbatch, Hasco, Intouch, CJP/Dyna-Purge, Victor Europe, Ultrapolymers, Extruder Services, CL Rye Trading, Mouldshop.com, Ultraschalltechnik GmbH & Co., Victor Europe, Ensinger, Pad Print, Welwyn Tool Group, KOCH-Technik, Macchi Spa, Plasmatreat (UK), Bunting Magnetics Co., Zwick Testing Machines plus many more.
Mark Blezard, Managing Director of Plastics Multimedia Communications, concluded, ''We are delighted with the support from the industry. Many companies are returning to the show and really getting on board with the fresh ideas and enthusiasm being generated by the re-launched Interplas. This is an extremely exciting time for the show.''
