LMS to showcase its unique fuel injection simulation solution

Leuven, Belgium - LMS, the engineering innovation company, will showcase its extended solutions for internal combustion engine injection systems at the 2009 IMECHE Injection Systems for IC Engines Conference, to be held in London on May 13th and 14th. LMS will present its comprehensive 1D simulation solutions as well as a new solenoid injector demo for common rail systems, performing multiple-injections.

The LMS Imagine.Lab Internal Combustion Engine Related Hydraulics solution helps design and optimize fuel systems and components from tank to injector. It further assists in designing valve actuation systems in relation to the engine cylinder. This solution is based on the LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim multiple-domain system simulation approach and helps develop new concepts to resolve specific issues posed by internal combustion engines.

The 2009 IMECHE Injection Systems for IC Engines Conference focuses on the latest technology for system design, characterization, measurement and modeling. The conference will cover all technological aspects of diesel and gasoline fuel injection systems, ranging from fuel spray theory, component design to effects on engine performance, fuel economy and emissions.

LMS' solutions help auto, truck and bus OEMs and suppliers confront challenges posed in IC systems, such as high-pressure multiple injections, gasoline direct injection or variable valvetrain. The LMS Internal Combustion Engine Related Hydraulics solution can model, simulate and analyze current and future injection systems such as gasoline injection, diesel and alternative fuels (DME, LPG, CNG), low and high-pressure injection systems, indirect/direct injection, common rail as well as solenoid, piezo, electro-hydraulic valve or mechanical actuation.
