Huntsman Advanced Materials is showing the latest, most advanced high-performance materials from Araldite® and RenShape® at the first JEC Asia Composites Show in Singapore. Among them is a versatile new Araldite® Highly Flexible Composite Material which has won the JEC Asia Award, in the Raw Materials Category, presented at the Show on 22 October 2008.

Versatile Araldite® Highly Flexible Composite Material
At JEC Asia, Huntsman is demonstrating their new Award-winning Araldite® Highly Flexible Composite (HFC) - an innovative fibre reinforced composite material with outstanding flexibility, high transparency, and brightness. Araldite® HFC offers an extremely cost-effective option for composite manufacturing as it does not require specialist equipment or labour. These composites can be used on a wide range of applications from high-performance race cars to heavy-duty protective clothing.
Araldite® Liquid Composite Moulding systems for resin infusion, injection and transfer moulding applications in the automotive industry are also highlighted. This is supported with an impressive display of composite component samples produced for some of the world's leading automotive manufacturers including Porsche and Dodge Viper.
Innovative Tooling Solutions
At JEC Asia, a range of tooling infusion systems for the manufacturing of large scale high-temperature moulds utilising Araldite® LY 8615 / Aradur® 8615 / Aradur® 5212 are being shown. Details on the latest high-performance, bromine-free, flame-retardant Araldite® adhesives and Epocast® syntactics for aerospace applications together with high-temperature tooling solutions including epoxy boards and laminating systems are also available.
High Performance Specialty Components
Huntsman is recognised as one of the leading providers of high performance specialty components for the aerospace industry. It is demonstrating Araldite® MY 0600, a multi-functional epoxy resin based on meta-aminophenol. Compared to the properties of many multi-functional epoxy resins, this material is unique in its ability to provide structural matrices with higher modulus and greater toughness, making it ideally suited to aerospace applications.
Araldite 2000PLUS - the ultimate bond
Araldite® 2000 PLUS is a versatile range of methacrylate and polyurethane adhesives, ideally suited for bonding modern engineering substrates including plastics and metals and a range of products are on display at JEC Asia.
