伊莱克斯设计实验室2008竞赛共有来自42个国家近600余件作品参赛，本届竞赛伊莱克斯邀请学生为互联一代创造未来的家用品。最后有9件作品被邀请参加10月在苏黎世举办的决赛，其中同济大学一件作品入围：

• iBasket: the Wi-Fi-connected clothes hamper and washing machine, by Guopeng Liang, Tongji University, China.
• Vesta: the foldaway cooktop with RFID scanner, by Matthias Pinkert, HTW Dresden (FH) University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
• Drawer Kitchen: the desk-drawer hotplate and fridge, by Nojae Park, Chiba University, Japan.www.dolcn.com
