CGTech has now been developing NC programme simulation and analysis software for 20 years. Flourishing throughout an era when software companies have come and gone, market-leading CGTech has enjoyed two decades of innovation and steady growth. The company's flagship product, Vericut® software, came into being when its founder and president, Jon Prun, recognizing a need to verify NC tool-path programmes without wasting valuable CNC machining time on a prove-out part, developed it.
With its fast algorithm, designed to run on desktop computers, that simulated material removal via a three-dimensional solid model, Vericut greatly advanced NC programme verification. Since its initial release, Vericut has been enhanced to optimize feed rates and simulate the kinematics of complex multiaxis and multispindle CNC machine tools.
''We wouldn't be in position to celebrate our 20th anniversary without the loyal support of all those who use Vericut,'' says Prun. ''Vericut development has always been driven by our customers' needs, and we always welcome feedback from users.''
CGTech has thousands of customers across nearly all manufacturing sectors, including every major aerospace and automotive company. The company, headquartered in the USA, has founded wholly owned subsidiaries in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and China.
